What are you CURRENTLY doing?

Slide1Today has been a busy day. I was starting to worry that I wouldn’t have time to write today’s post for the Slice of Life Challenge. Then, my good friend Fran McVeigh suggested writing a “Currently” post as she did today. She credits Bev Baird’s post with a model of “Currently” as mentioned in Stacey’s Call for Slices. Thanks to everyone for a great idea!

So here it goes …

Listening to my dog sleep next to me. He is content that I am finally home. I was away for a longer period of time today.

Drinking a blueberry protein smoothie. After a long day I really wanted some chocolate, but I am proud that I crushed that craving and grabbed something healthy.

Feeling tired after attending a long professional development session, but happy that the process will lead to meaningful work with schools.

Clicking emails, Twitter and Facebook to catch up on things I may have missed during the day.

Chuckling that I am enjoying writing this post so much! Thank you, Fran, for the suggestion!

Staring at the clear blue sky out my living room picture window and loving the sunshine and warm temperatures.

Working on nothing (besides this post). My weekend was full of work and I missed enjoying the beautiful weather. Now that it will be daylight longer I am headed out for a early evening walk and some ME time!

Listening the items I need to pick up from the store after my walk. The cupboards are bare and the dog is running out of food. My dog is going to be thrilled that he gets to go for a walk and to the “Smart Store” (aka Pet Smart) all in one day.

Saving my draft post as I write. Rereading and revising often.

Enjoying that I have now completed Day 10 of the Slice of Life Challenge and in record time!

What are you CURRENTLY doing? Join the fun in describing a slice of your day. How could you use the CURRENTLY idea with students?

Congrats on reaching day 10! I really enjoyed reading your “Currently” post. I wrote one of those on Sunday and I truly enjoyed it. I really liked the “saving” and “enjoying” parts. I can totally relate to those. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks, Val. I am glad I was introduced to the format. It will be one I use again. The beauty is that it would be different every time!

Oh, I love the sharing of ideas and passions. Thanks for the inspiration no matter where it originated.

Thanks! It was fun to see what would come to my mind as I thought about each verb. This was a good writing format for letting ideas just flow.
